I don’t really know what it was about yesterday but I was TIRED throughout the majority of the day. Sure, I woke up early to drive my girlfriend to work and that usually sets the tone for being tired all day but despite an afternoon nap there just wasn’t any relief. I was tired. Ugh. Thankfully, the gym still was in the plan.
I managed to do some light cardio in the day as I “walked” some errands rather than taking a shortcut and driving. It was a nice day so it wasn’t too bad. After coming home, that’s when it hit me. I was EXHAUSTED and needed a nap. The nap itself wasn’t bad. Eventually I fell asleep and it must have been deep as I woke up and was extremely groggy. My girlfriend had called me and I didn’t even hear it ring. That’s how tired I was. Insane. About an hour after waking up, Jerkface called me and said she was on her way to pick me up for some gym fun.
I hadn’t eaten a lot during the day so I opted for a protein bar to see how they work out. We each got one and joked about how we’re all serious and professional now! Protein bars! So I got some soy peanut butter one and she had the same but in choco truffle flavour. It seems that no matter which flavour you choose you’ll soon discover that they taste absolutely wretched! Well, the peanut butter one was actually slightly more ew than the choco one. Thankfully I had gum.
The workout itself wasn’t exactly exciting. I just didn’t seem to have that “Go! Go! Go!” mindset that I’ve had in previous workouts. I didn’t over-do any of the weights nor did I really push myself to get them done. I felt a little off, I suppose.
In any event, here are yesterday’s achievements:
Yesterday’s Workout
30 minutes of cardio. It was a great warmup and by about the 18th-20th minutes, I was wanting to quit. Thankfully, I didn’t.
Note: I lowered the weight as a result of my last attempt at doing preacher curls. I could feel the difference in weight as this didn’t really give me any problem.
Note: I think my ultimate problem from the last time was that I could have been doing them too heavy. This went well and without incident.
Note: I didn’t quite follow through with a second set. Just wasn’t feeling it.
Note: I think I’m getting around to liking these. I don’t know why. I managed to do these with ease but found that the last set was getting a bit more challenging. Good times!
Note: I managed to get through another 30 mins of cardio when it was all said and done. Jerkface had other things to finish off as I was taking it easy on the weights so I finished off with this.
Conclusion
I really don’t know what the deal was. I didn’t do any of the flat presses or any of the flys. But at least I got my cardio in, right? That’s got to count for SOMETHING. I think as long as I throw in as much cardio as I can, I should be alright. I was even thinking of doing ANOTHER half hour on top of that but we had to bail on account of the parking validation being close to expiry.
Today, I think I’m going to go and do an hour of cardio just to keep the momentum going. I would really like to go everyday this week and blast some more cardio. At this juncture, it looks as if the 10 lbs. goal by the end of the month isn’t going to be met. *sighs*

sounds like a great workout! good job getting all that in.
Thanks Matt! (Can I call you Matt?)
A friend of mine (who is very much into working out) came up with a plan for me to follow and that’s what I’ve been sticking to. Come to think of it, I’ve never really posted it anywhere for someone to peruse.
I think I’ll be adding some pages on my blog!
