Day 54…………MMMMMMMM Indian Food, OOOOOOOUUUUCCCHHH!

So we went to our best friend’s house for football and dinner last night. I knew they were cooking an Indian dish so I fasted all day. My favorite food is Indian food and they made Butter Chicken. The name alone is a red flag, but I ate so little yesterday that I wasn’t worried about the numbers, but what I didn’t think about was how it would make me feel. Because of that dish, I experience heartburn for the first time since I started this lifestyle change. I gotta tell you, I don’t know how I lived with all the heartburn before, because it ruined the whole meal for me, well afterwords. It’s not they’re fault, it’s just something I have avoided so long that it seemed to have that effect on me. So in the future I will be more conservative if I want to enjoy my favorite food.

What is your favorite food and how will you incorporate it into your future diet after your success?

Please share

Enjoy the Journey!

My favorite food is homemade lasagna. I am sure that down the road I will adapt the recipe, using whole wheat pasta, and I will eat much smaller portions that I used to.

Oh man I LOVE Indian and Pakistani food. So easy to eat too much of it too. I wish I had a good strategy for incorporating my favorite food but I can’t see that happen until I learn portion control.

I don’t really have a favorite food. If I did, I’d say it was Chili Rellenos. I do have them occasionally, but I plan ahead for it by making sure I keep up with 60 minutes of cardio every day for several days beforehand, and I undereat by 10 pts or so the day before, eat lightly the other meals that day, and undereat by 10 pts or so the day after.

I absolutely love Indian food, too, but my favorite ethnic cuisine is Thai. I just try to make good choices when eating it, but it’s not always easy.
