Before you guys go all ‘oooh’ and ‘ahhh’ at the numbers below, I gotta tell you that I have had a pretty stressful week. Basically, LOTS of $hit (Charles & Rick understand).

I tracked most of my days, that is before my Palm was lost/stolen, so its back to the paper trackers for a while. I made it to the gym 3 times, as well as 3 football games and 1 volleyball game. Plus I did some shopping for school; $500 worth of textbooks… for ONE term, plus another $500 for the Dell laptop I ordered today. And then, there is the OTHER stuff… The upshot, I didn’t eat much on some days. One of the days I tracked had me using 12 of my 37 points.

I start classes on Monday at 9am – 9pm and Tuesday 8am – Noon; 14 credits including practicum. I am hoping to get in some time at the University weight room as well as keeping the convenience food in check. Stay tuned for the Week 1 assessment.

Until then… Take a look at the Football Guy Ticker, he’s looking pretty awesome. He never used to be that far along the field.

It’s gonna get really tough once classes start. It will be too easy to grab the quick stuff than to have healthy meals and snacks. You really should plan those out right now. It would be great if you had a small box or bin at home to store the snacks. That way, you can grab a few and stick them in your satchel before going to class. Make contract with yourself that you stick to eating only what you brought with you. Even go so far as to leave any change you might be tempted to bring at home. I’ve always tried to limit myself to having nothing smaller than a $5 bill in my wallet. I have money if I need it, but I don’t have small enough amounts to use in most vending machines.

You can do it… just plan ahead a little and you’ll get through it. And just remember we’re all here for ya. It won’t be easy at first, but once you have a routine down, then it will be a no-brainer.
