2008 Freedom Run 5K
I’ve survived my first 5K run and it was fun, hard, exciting, exhausting and a whole lot more. Most of all, it was kinda addicting. I placed 76th in the Men’s 35-39 age group, and 755th overall (I think, I forgot to write it down). My time was 36:41.13 (or thereabouts) and this was really one of my second best runs. The humidity killed me along with the last hill before the finish line, but it was mostly the humidity.
I’ll let the video below that I just created tell the rest.

Way to go Charles!!!!
Looks like a pretty big race. Had to be a great atmosphere. That is one of things I am learning to love about bigger races, they are almost like circuses. It makes the whole thing feel like a special event vs. just being out for a run.
Keep it up!

Way to go Charles! My first 5K is tomorrow. I’m figuring on about the same time as yourself. I’m feeling just about as anxious tonight as you seemed at the beginning of your video. Congratulations!
