These words could not have come at a better time. I've been suffering with a bout of lazy bones lately too. It's got me feeling pretty low. When it rains it pours and I've had ear infections, obnoxious work schedules, car troubles, and troublesome kids contributing to the slump. These things will happen though, and working through it makes you stronger on the other side. If I wait for the real world to slow down and give me a second, then I'll be waiting forever.

So I've reevaluated my goals, devised a plan, and made a contract with myself. All thanks to Charles. Even bigger thanks to the FatBloggers community, men who I consider brothers now, for striving to keep each other motivated.

You go, Charles!

I've noticed the same thing happening to me. The heat and humidity of Summer wears me down and I have no desire to exercise in it. (Who am I kidding? I have no desire to exercise, period.)

Good luck to us all in regaining our momentum as we head into the most challenging season of Halloween candy, Thanksgiving pies and Christmas cookies!! We can do it!!

Thanks for the support, Charles. And I had hummus for lunch today.

It's ok, we'll make it -- slumps happen, we stop caring for a few weeks, whatever. It's ok to get off the horse for a little while.. provided it doesn't run away, leaving you fat and stranded.

I'm soldiering on, because the best thing that could happen for my mood, above everything else, is to lose some weight. Everything else would be some kind of compensating or rationalization. So, tons of exercise for me this week! :P

It's true Charles looks like we are on crisis, but it happens to everybody not just with us. It's hard to think straight when everything goes wrong, in my case, besides the fact that my leg still hurt, my scale broke and the one that I bought online and arrived today was also broken plus my polar watch stop working, geez what a nightmare!!!

My last 2 days weren't very good with food, but now I decide that the only thing that I can do is to continue what I was doing because at least I was doing something that was good for my health.

Take care,
Alex.
