Cross Published on Rejecting Your Reality…
I survived my birthday and the presence of a cake in the house. But that wasn’t my biggest worry last week; I ate horribly. Heavy on the convenience food and light on the fresh fruits and veggies. On balance, it was exactly the kind of week that is ‘normal’ in the real world.
WW Leader Jan talks a lot about ‘working the program’. This means using the tools you are paying for to re-train yourself. Unfortunately, many are afflicted with the same arrogance that I had while I was playing around with the program. I was paying $12/week to use their scale, but wasn’t doing much else because "I knew how to do it". I have said before that FAT people are delusional. I lived under the delusion that when I forked over my cash I was somehow imparted with the divine knowledge of how to eat correctly. It wasn’t until I started ‘working the program’ that I realized that Weight Watchers is more than a ‘diet plan’. It’s a support group, accountability group and a life coaching group. A downright amazing bargain at $13/week (or $39.95 on Monthly Pass)!
If you don’t follow the program, you might as well use the money on the lottery. The return on your investment is the same.

Admittedly, staying the same isn’t nearly as exciting as a loss, but I’m glad to hear you didn’t eat so much cake as to gain weight!
Thanks for stopping by, Maggie!
I really enjoyed reading your blog, AND noticed you are linking to us. I have shown a little “link love” in return and added your blog to our Friends List.
I hope we see a lot of you around here. Congrats on the progress you have made.
Had a lady I used to work with who was the type of person to always motivate you. She gave me a quote and it stuck with me ever since
“No Try, Only Do!
