Week 69 - Back on Track
Cross-published on Rejecting Your Reality…
One of the drawbacks to accountability is the stress it puts upon the one that is trying to be accountable. If you are screwing up, you really don’t want to tell anyone. But the nature of accountability requires disclosure.
Tonight at the WeightWatchers meeting we talked about ways to be successful during the summer months. If you have been following my posts for any length of time you know that I prefer the summer months for various reasons (like heat is better than cold, fresh fruits and veggies are better than the plastic ones in the winter and you cant beat driving down the street with the windows down and the music up!). The discussion got onto the topic of when to tell people that you are ‘on’ WeightWatchers. The problem is when you tell people you are trying to lose weight there are the eye-rolls and the yeah-rights. I didn’t tell very many people that I was doing this until I hit the 10% benchmark. But now, boy… MILLIONS know!
So there is the added pressure of coming here and reporting a THIRD week of weight-gain…

Nice! Sorry I’m a little late replying here. I’m way behind on my blogging, and it looks like I’m going to have to hit the ‘flush’ button in GReader again. Nice job on picking up the weight loss again.

Nice job. And yeah… the accountability hurts some times! But think it is essential or at least very helpful to long term success. I know I don’t want to backslide very far when I have to post to the world about it!

Ah yes, the PAIN of bad choices. Having to go before the bar of accountability and confess the error of our ways.
