Weigh-In: Week 68 (Goin' in the wrong direction)

Forgive me FatBloggers, for I have gained…

Two consecutive weeks of GAINS!

This is how I begin to fail; I get complacent in the accomplishments I have already made and revel a little too much in the praise of others. Pretty soon, I’m not watching what I eat. In this case I didn’t track a single think I ate for the ENTIRE week, and some of it was NOT smart.

My wife encourages me by telling me that what I consider ‘overeating’ now would be merely a snack for the old “Tub O’Goo” me. So how do I fix this?

  • Recognize the eating problems… fix them
  • Recognize the direction I’m going… change it.
  • Recognize the lack of movement… kick it in the a$$

Anton, A drum roll please…

You have made amazing progress! NO QUESTION!

But, newsflash… this is a lifetime thing. Go back to old habits, the weight comes back. We can’t become complacent, not before we reach our goals and not WHEN we reach our goals!

Does it mean you or I will have to obsessively track for the rest of our lives? That’s an individual thing. I think, I HOPE, as I form better habits that eventually, I can eat more like a normal healthy, fit, thin person without all the daily food logging!

Your wife has a point… but the fact remains that you posted a gain, not a “maintain”. Whether it’s major overeating or just a little… over the long haul it all leads back to where we were. You know what to do. As do I! I’m still disappointed in the fact that I lost control last weekend and have gained.

Let’s buckle down again and make forward progress!
