Jeff brings up an awesome problem, what to do with the clothes that are too big?
I have a proposal…
How about we start the FatBloggers.net Clothing Exchange? When you have clothes that you are willing to share, post what you have. A description, maybe a picture and terms of the offer. Are you willing to pay shipping? If the item was an ‘investment’ say a leather jacket, then there may be a price involved. But for the most part this is a pay it forward enterprise.

I love the idea of creating a place to allow people to post their clothing available for others who may have finally downsized to that level. I’m already looking to possibly start getting rid of size 46 pants as I find I can get into size 44 now.

I think it is a really good idea too, I think that there will be a certain sense of accomplishment associated with doing this. Plus it will save money while we are sizing down!

I’ve just been bagging my old clothes up for yard sale.
We have room for one more tab at the top. Here’s how I see it. You make a post and then I will cut/paste the info into the tab so it stay where people can see it as the post migrates down the page. Then you just let me know when your merchandise has found a home.

Ah man you guys beat me too it. I was planing on having a big clothing giveaway over on my other blog next week or the week after.

THose of you with clothing to give away, start posting anytime. I will copy/paste the info into the NEW tab above. When it gets a new owner, just email me and I will take it off the tab.

Man…I sent 3 bags of clothes to Goodwill last summer. This would have been a great idea for all of that stuff.

FatBloggers get the ‘free shipping’ that I mentioned, but non-contributors pay the shipping?

I would say, as a courtesy, the payee takes care of the shipping. I’m not sure who would pick up the tab for exchanges between Fatbloggers. Just a thought.
