The Weigh-In Week 28

by Tony on December 21, 2007

216.2! That’s what it said on the scale this morning. A loss of 1 pound!

I am so looking forward to the holidays. I am excited about the break from work and spending some quality time with friends and family, but mostly I can not wait to see the looks on the faces of all those family members that I have not seen in awhile.

If you have a few seconds head here and scroll to the bottom of today’s post. There you can see a video of me from this summer and one from this morning. In the first I look and walk like I am nine months pregnant. It’s a great reminder of how far we’ve come in such a short time.

Have a warm, wonderful happy holiday everybody. Try not to stress the eating to much. You’ve all done amazing so far, you’ll keep it up in the New Year. One big holiday meal is not going to change that.

It is so cool that we can look back to this time last year and see an amazing change. So many people look at their lives during the holidays and depression sets in because they feel that they are no better off today than they were last year. Whether that is due to the loss of loved ones, or the results of another failed resolution.
As far as weightloss goes, I was one of those people. I would set myself up for failure by making a ‘resolution’. Sometimes I would lose some weight, but it was shortlived. Then I would hit the holidays and assess the year, only to see failure.
You and I ‘did it’ my friend. We didn’t necessarily make a resolution, but we resolved to change our lifestyle and we are seeing the benefits. I hope that others read this, get inspired and can be sitting here in one year looking back at accomplished goals.

Merry Christmas everyone… and a transforming New Year!
