Broke Down on the Road: Week 34
Just when I get a handle on my current work assignment (see last weeks post) I spend the week treading water. I know, I know, I can hear my Weight Watchers leader’s voice now, “You’re not treading water when the scale goes down”. ![]()
California State Route 330
is apparently more treacherous that I had originally thought, I haven’t made much progress. Perhaps I should trade my 2007 Shelby Mustang Cobra for the ‘07 Dodge Ram 4×4 with a Cummins Diesel, that should get me where I’m going. That and the gym reopening after being closed all week for “annual repairs”… grrr!

Starting Weight (Dec. 22, 2006): 392 lbs.
Starting BMI: 51.7
Weight Today (August 23, 2007): 330.4 lbs.
Current BMI: 43.6
Weight Change This Week: -0.4 lbs.
Total Loss: -61.8 lbs.
NEXT Goal: Lose 25 lbs. by Labor Day (0.4 lbs. to go… draggin’ it out, aren’t I?)

I am such a b**ch, but I am going to say it anyways, was the outside broke that you could not walk? Don’t let something like the gym being closed take you off your plan, it’s too important and jeapordizing your metabolism is not the thing to do. Plan for that. Plan for illness, plan for if you can’t afford a gym membership.
I am glad that you didn’t gain, I hope that your next week is much better, I want to see you further down that road too. I know what it’s like to stall, getting restarted is hard, but it’s part of the process, don’t fall into the trap of having time off and not wanting to “get motivated”. Motivation is a crock. “Just do it” is the way to go.

Nothing like getting b**ch slapped!
For the record, “outside” wasn’t broke, I think walking the levee is what got me the success I did see this week.
