Forgive me FatBloggers…
I am not having that great of a week.
Work has been a very efficient stress factory this week. The Residential Treatment Home I work at began a $30,000 plumbing project this week. This meant that we had to have the residents out of the house while the demolition and reconstruction hours. This creates its own stress for people who would rather spend 90% of their day locked in their room and generally decline to go on outings into the community. We thought we had every contingency planned, but there has been a significant kink every day so far, which creates a demand for leadership from me as our Administrator is out on vacation this week. Because we are out of the house for most of the day, dinners have been planned to be simple… which means Papa Murphy’s here. I should mention that they are estimating that this is going to be a three week project.
And finally, my schedule changed from 4×10 to 3×12. I had every intention of going to the gym after work, but after a 12 hour day that stretched into 13.5, 14 and 15 hours each day so far this week, I only accomplished a cardio session on the “easy” 13.5 hour day. Plus, ask anyone who knows me… pizza is my weakness.
I did a full cardio/weights workout this morning and I’m leaning towards a cardio session before the Weight Watchers meeting tomorrow morning. I have tracked my weight on a couple graphing programs since I begun this journey last December. I have noticed that I have an uptick every six weeks, I am afraid that I am going to have one tomorrow… after only four weeks!
I just thought I should visit the confessional before I go in for the tale of the scale.

As founder of The Diet Pulpit I feel qualified to forgive you and assign 50 Hail the Scales.
Sounds like you have your hands full. Stress alone can affect weight. What ever the scale says don’t let it get to you - keep those long term goals in mind.
When I have a bad few weeks, I try to think of it as learning to cope with maintenance - which is a skill we all need to know well. So even if there is no weight loss or a bit of a gain - the past few weeks have been a lesson in maintenance and sticking to the overall healthy plan.
Go in peace ***makes the sign of the pulpit blessing***

Thank-you for the encouragement.
