Week 27 Weigh-In

I should start expecting this. According to my tracking charts, I have an ‘up tick’ every 6-7 weeks.

I was hoping for a bit more positive news as we head out on vacation. Heading out to Montana for my best friends wedding… no gym, eating at restaurants and lots of driving. I will do my best to be back on track for my next weigh in on July 5th.

Undaunted.. I press on… Anton, a drum roll please…

Starting Weight (Dec. 22, 2006) – 392 lbs.
Starting BMI – 51.7
Weight Today (June 26, 2007) – 345.8 lbs.
Current BMI – 45.6

Weight Change This Week +3.2
Total Loss – 46.2 lbs.
NEXT Goal – 330 lbs. by Labor Day
(15.8 lbs to go!)

I think that it is so critical to look at your own trends and know what to expect. My own big week/little week situation is a prime example of that. When I have a little week, I’m not so discouraged. Just keep the total pounds lost in mind. Plus, you’ve set other milestones on your way to your ideal weight, which I think is huge when it comes to maintaining motivation.

Keep up the good work…Glad to see you used the word “undaunted” in this post.

Losing over 8 lbs. last week seemed a little ‘too much’, so I figured that this week would be lackluster. I discovered the 7 week cycle when I put the weight into my PDA, so the disappointment was almost tolerable. In light of the trip to Montana, I am hoping for a good number next Thursday.

Stay strong John.
Vacation weeks are tough, but I’ll bet the place you are staying has a gym. If not get up early and head out for a walk. Montana has to have some beautiful places to walk.
