Actually, this was my first time at Applebee's, but I can definitely say that the quality control is lacking. I'm not sure what the appeal is, though, they seem to be a popular chain. The prices even aren't all that reasonable, so who knows. Thanks for the advice.

Dude,

Just say no to Applebys. I wouldn't eat there if they were the only place on my deserted island.

I've eaten there 6 times (3 different stores) and EVERY time, they have brought my entree out before my salad, and screwed something else up as well.

Honestly, the last time we went, we went knowing they'd screw up and would give us free deserts. NO LIE!!!

Thanks Rose, we're having a great time. As a rule, I don't eat salads for a meal, but I have to admit that does sound good.

Running update: I went ahead and ran the entire 1.75 miles without stopping, rather than walk in between. It was tough, but it feels good to have accomplished it. I need to be up to 3.1 miles in a month.

Sounds like you have a great start for healthy eating on vacation. Vacations used to scare me - but after over a year of healthy eating I can handle it better now. Have you tried Panera's salmon salad only 350 calories (around that might be 20 more or less) - it's very good and usually can find one around. They have a nice low fat chicken soup too and I love that they offer an apple as your choice of a side. I like Applebee's cause they include calories and the WW points - but not everything is all that great - at least they are trying. Hope you have tons of FUN! Lady Rose
