The Anti-Exercise Pill
According to an article on the Discovery:Health website, scientists have discovered a pill that will help you lose weight without exercising… AT ALL!
It’s possible, according to a scientist who’s developed a potential weight-loss drug that revs up cellular metabolism, much like what happens during heavy physical activity.
The line in the article that I saw the most problem with the one that said the pill will be for people “who want to lose weight but will not diet and exercise properly”. The article also said that the subjects do not even have to follow a reduced calorie diet. Basically this is a pill for the person who wants to have Brad Pitt abs AND 1/2 a cheesecake!
OK FatBloggers time for you to ‘weigh-in’. How appealing does this pill sound to you?

WHAT??? hmmm what a crock that must be.. hard cold reality .. to obtain anything worth while or good one must work at it. Our bodies will not get healthy by popping “magic I am a lazy ass pills” our bodies need exercise, they need good nutrition and the occassional treat. Good nutrition .. simply eatings 3 balanced meals a day 2-3 small snacks.. and getting some type of exercise daily.. walking.. bike riding.. whatever floats your boat… there are no magic pills.. no matter what anyone claims they are developing. Reality can be hard .. but thats the way it is.. thats my opinion though..

For the Record…. I have tried some of the “magic pills” of the last decade. The only one that worked was Phen-Fen, but the government had other ideas for that one. Right now, I wouldn’t because I am having fun doing it on my own.

I think diet pills should be used when the doctor believes it’s necessary, and then only when it’s accompanied by the nutrition lifestyle adjustment and exercise.
I’d like to know what the potential side effects of this new miracle drug are.

I should be saying “hell no, I would never take something like that,” but if I’m an honest person, I have to answer honestly. It sounds interesting to me. Not because I wouldn’t have to do anything to lose weight. I’m getting to the point where going to the gym is an absolute joy to me and watching my diet through the day gives me something to keep my mind busy and it feels really good to actually do something good for myself. That being said, wouldn’t this pill, combined with what I’m already doing, give me the results that much faster? What over-weight person wouldn’t benefit from a better metabolism? We’ve all known people that can eat and eat and eat and still be thin, I guess I just look at it as evening the playing field a bit.
