Week 10

Drum roll please, Anton…5 pounds lost this week, for a grand total of 37.8 pounds lost since March 4.  When I did Prism 9 years ago, it took me 6 weeks to lose this much.  I’m not in a race, though…this is for the long haul.  I’d MUCH rather lose the weight the way I’m doing it right now.

Since this seems to be the week for disclosing numbers, I’ll show you mine, since you’ve already shown me yours.

  • Starting weight:  301.6 (by far my heaviest ever)
  • Weight loss first week:  7 pounds
  • Time to lose 10 pounds:  2.5 weeks
  • Time to lose 20 pounds:  5 weeks
  • Weight right now:  263.8 pounds
  • Next target weight:  250 pounds
  • Estimated date I’ll get there:  June 19

It’s been my custom to come down to the Great Pacific Wine & Coffee Company every Tuesday evening following a weigh-in.  I usually treat myself to a fat-free, cream cheese bagel and something on tap.  Tonight, it’s a Terminal Velocity IPA, from right here in Northeastern Oregon.  Not bad stuff, for a local brew.   Too bad there’s not a good wi-fi connection right now, I’ll probably need to go home to post this thing.

Congrats Rick! You were estimating 1.6 pounds and you lost over 3x that much. That has to make you feel good. I had my first official weigh-in today and I’m pleased with the results as well. Keep doing what you’re doing because it’s obviously working well for you!

Doug: I’m keeping track of all of this in a spreadsheet in Google Docs. They have a new graphing feature that comes in pretty handy for stuff like this. I just downloaded it as a .png file and used it as a normal graphic in my post. Pretty slick.
