New kid on the block
Hi, my name is Paul, and I’m a fataholic.
Since that could mean anything from a fat alcoholic to a chubby chaser, I guess I had better clarify. I’m fat. “Obese” the doctors like to say. I’m happy to report however that I’m quite a bit less obese than I was 4 months ago when I started dieting. Still obese though. Still a long way to go. I started the diet weighing 334 lbs, and I’m down to 285.
Just this month (May 2007) I decided I’d start writing about my journey losing the weight and the quest to keep it off. Anybody can lose a bunch of weight and gain it all back plus more. I’ve done it a number of times. I’m ready to stop the cycle this time around.
Sure, I say that now, but I’ve said that before. So what’s different this time? This time my dieting isn’t going to be my dirty little secret that I’m ashamed off. This time I’m going public, both on my new site, Sucks To Be Fat, and here on Fatbloggers.net, thanks to Rick’s generous invitation! So anyone that has an interest can keep tabs on me and my success or lack thereof.
I look forward to all our continued success losing weight, and keeping each other on track through our mini online support group here.
Thanks for reading!

Welcome aboard, Paul, we’re glad to have you with us. I think most of us have experienced the “cycle” in one way or another. It’s led us all to the same place: Fat. Obese. Chubby. Whatever you want to call it, it’s the same thing. We’re carrying around a bunch of flab that we don’t need to be. Blogging is a great way to stay motivated and accountable for what we do. We look forward to hearing more from you in the future.
