More pants
I’m having a bit of a fatblogging fashion crisis here. A lot of the pants in my current rotation, my Medium Guy pants, are beginning to hang on me. I’m not quite into my Skinny Guy pants yet. Well, not into most of them, anyway. I pulled out all 13 pairs tonight and tried them on, and I’ve got two in there that actually feel good right now. I scored some shorts, too, just in time for a sunny weekend. Funny how two pairs of the same size and style of jeans can fit so differently.
So, I’m officially in between sizes right now. That’s not a bad problem to have.

I’m having the same problem right now myself. All I can do until I really reach my goal is keep going down notches on my belt.
It’s such a great feeling, congratulations!

Rick, I can certainly relate to the problem. Three weeks ago I broke down and tried a new pair of jeans. I was already on my second belt and was tired of cinching my slacks up and trying to distribute the excess material. I was shocked to find that I had dropped two waist sizes, from 40″ where I’d been for years to 36″ (regular fit, not relaxed). Two weeks ago I bought two pairs of Docker-type slacks and they are already loose.
My crisis came last night at our honors award ceremony where I was a presenter. I had to wear a suit and the only one that came close to looking right was one I bought last fall. My wife tried to pin the waist but gave up saying there was just too much extra material. I cinched the belt and moved the excess to the back figuring my jacket would cover it, and it did. I told my wife that I could wear the jacket as a double-breasted one and she just said the pockets would be in the wrong places.
The next time I have a chance, I’ll try on a pair of slacks with a 34″ waist. I think that’s where I will settle when I move to a maintenance diet.
All in all, this is not a bad problem to have.

That’s IS a cool problem to have (unless you’re cash strapped to buy new clothes).

Sounds like a good problem to me!

All my 3x and 2x and 1x clothes are packed up. I’m in my x-lg now and they are getting a bit loose. I don’t have many larges but will have to look in boxes and see what I have - might have to shop a little - but just a little so I can not be naked at work. Any major clothing shopping will wait till I am much smaller.
Congratulations on your shrinking!!!

At Christmas ‘06, my 58″ loose fit jeans were tight. I am now wearing 54’s and they are ‘loose’ to ‘just right’ depending on the pair I am wearing. AND I had to buy a new belt for the first time in 10 years!
You are lookin’ good, Rick! I would ask you to save your old pants for me as I move down the sizes. But then I realized that you are about a foot and a half taller than me and that wouldn’t work.
