Motivation low, compliance high

by Rick on April 29, 2007

It was tough yesterday.  After another full weekend of class, I went to a family birthday barbecue that included a London broil, macaroni salad, chips, strawberry shortcake, etc…  You know the drill.  Unfortunately, I showed up with only about 8 WW points left on the table, but I was able to get by just on a medium slice of meat.  Believe me, I wanted all of the other good stuff, too.

With my approaching 40th birthday, my biggest worry is not hitting my 30-pounds-lost milestone.  Oh, I’ve done everything right this week, and have even begun a walking regimen along our levy every few days.  I just don’t FEEL like I’m down much more right now than I was last Tuesday night.  I know it sounds silly.  The rational part of me says that a 2 pound loss this week won’t really be less significant than a 2.2 loss, but the emotional part of me wants that round, even number by this Friday.  I am going to skip this Tuesday’s weigh-in and go Thursday morning, just before I leave for outdoor school.

Time to go for a walk.

Even though you are lossing less weight but hey it’s better than gaining.

It sucks when you have done everything right but the result is not as expected

You can do it!
You were looking GOOD when you stopped by this morning. In the words of Dory … Just keep swimming!
