Week 2.5 weigh-in
I normally weigh in on Tuesday evenings, but because of a glitch in my schedule this week, I had to wait until Friday morning. Anton, drum roll please…
5 pounds this past week and a half, bringing my total to 12.4 pounds.
I’m going for the slow burn this time around, instead of the rapid, kamikaze weight loss I’ve had in the past. When I was on Prism, I lost 50 pounds in about two months. Not good. My main goal now is for the lifestyle to stick. By eating right, I believe that my body will naturally evolve to where it needs to be.
What I need to work on: My water intake was really good to start out with, but it’s been a little too sporadic lately. Just because I “can” have diet sodas, doesn’t mean I “should” have diet sodas. At least, not as much as I’ve been drinking anyway.
Also, I’m out of excuses for not exercising. I’m on the cusp of spring break (today’s our first day, actually), and the weather is supposed to get close to 70 today. Time for a walk.
Food find: I try to limit my carbs, but I think an English muffin is a good thing sometimes. I’ve been putting a poached egg with a thin slice of cheddar cheese on a toasted English muffin. Your classic Egg McMuffin, sans breakfast meat. Five Weight Watchers points, and a shot of carbs, protein and dairy to go with it.
Spring break is here. Time to kick this thing in the rear end. Next weigh-in is only four days away.
